Right now you might be thinking…
Sound familiar?
Every one of those is covered in here. This was built for people starting from exactly that spot.
By the end of it, you can…
- ✓Know the 2026 money and savings limits ($994 / $1,491 and $2,000 / $3,000). And just what counts.
- ✓See what does not count against you. Most people never claim these.
- ✓Work and keep your checks. The work limit, the trial work time, 1619(b) Medicaid, and Ticket to Work.
- ✓Handle check-ups and reports the right way. A paperwork slip will never cost you a check.
- ✓Know the four ways to fight back and the dates, if they say no.
…and a good deal more.

If you want to be sure of the answer, these four do that:

1. Start Here: The Limits and the Map
Qualify, keep your benefits, and work without losing them. Four pages built around the number that decides most cases: the SSI resource limit has been $2,000 since 1989 — and there is a legal, federal way around it.

2. The Limits That Decide It
SSI is need-based, and two things decide it: income and resources. A third — where you live and who pays for it — quietly decides more cases than people realise. Ten pages on all three, with the 2026 numbers including in-kind support and the one-third reduction.

3. ABLE Accounts: The $2,000 Workaround
A federally authorised savings account that lets a person with a disability hold up to $100,000 Social Security does not count as a resource. From January 2026 the eligibility door opened much wider, and most people who could now open one have not.

4. Working Without Losing Benefits
The fear is always the same: take a job, lose everything, never get it back. Social Security built a whole set of work incentives to stop exactly that — test work, keep cash benefits while you test it, keep health coverage after the cash stops, and restart without a new application.
If you want it to hold, these do that:

5. Reviews, Reporting and Overpayments
Keeping benefits is mostly administrative. Two reviews people constantly confuse, one reporting deadline, and one letter you must never ignore. Get those four right and the case stays clean.

6. Applying and Appealing
Disability decisions are won on evidence and lost on deadlines. Most first applications are denied, and the most expensive mistake is treating that as the answer — Social Security's own figures show what happens to people who keep going, and they are in here.

7. The Benefits That Ride Along
An award is usually the door to several other things: Medicaid, SNAP, a state cash supplement, a drug subsidy, and in some families a benefit on a parent's record that pays more than SSI does. Most are not automatic. This part is the checklist.

8. Worksheets, Contacts and Your Deadline Calendar
Twelve printable pages, starting with the income and resource organizer you fill in before every redetermination — resources are counted on the first moment of the first day of the month, which is the detail that catches people. Plus the wage-reporting log, the appeal tracker and every contact.
Add it up:
You save $223. That is 88% off.

Here is what a few have said ↓
“I originally purchased this to help my mother organize her Medicare and Social Security information. The financial security and fraud sections were useful enough that my husband and I went through them too.”
“Most of this information technically exists online, but it is spread everywhere. Having it organized in plain English, with links and worksheets, saved me hours.”
“There are so many retirement decisions happening at once. This gave me a step-by-step list rather than another 100-page book telling me everything that could possibly go wrong.”
“What I liked most was that it wasn't just educational. Every section ends with actual steps, questions to ask, documents to find, or numbers to calculate.”

The usual hesitations:
“I would not know where to start”
That is exactly what the first part is for — it starts from zero and tells you the next single thing to do.
“I am not good with computers”
Everything is a PDF in large type you can print at home. Nothing to install, nothing to set up.
“I have put this off for a while”
Then start with the one-page scan. It takes ten minutes and tells you whether the rest is worth your afternoon.
“I should probably ask my daughter”
Hand it to them. The worksheets are built to be filled in together and the scripts are written to be read out loud.

The practical questions
Is this easy to use?+
Yes. Plain words, big type, short parts, and simple sheets. If you can read a letter and make a phone call, you can use this.
Will working cost me my checks?+
Not if you follow the rules. The kit explains the work limit, the trial work time, and 1619(b). So you can work and stay covered.
When do I get it?+
Right away. It shows up on your screen the moment you pay. We email you a copy too.
Do I pay every month?+
No. You pay $29 one time. Nothing repeats. There is nothing to cancel.
Is this benefits advice?+
No. It only teaches you. SSI is free to apply for at ssa.gov or 1-800-772-1213. You always deal with SSA yourself.
